Vivid teams with Binney & Smith to distribute Crayola products in UK and Ireland: 6 December 2005 ~ London ~ Binney & Smith Inc. has decided to distribute its Crayola brand products in the United Kingdom and Ireland through Vivid Imaginations, the UK’s number one toy distributor.
As part of the proposed agreement, effective 1 January 2006, Vivid Imaginations would assume responsibility for the Crayola brand business relating to marketing, sales, product distribution, customer service and consumer affairs.
Binney & Smith currently markets and sells Crayola crayons, markers, colored pencils, activity kits and other Crayola branded products into mass retail, grocery and independent stores throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
“Vivid is excited and privileged to be entrusted with managing one of the truly great brands in the toy, and art and stationery business,” said Nick Austin, Vivid CEO. “We will bring fresh energy and investment to the Crayola brand for British and Irish customers through powerful TV advertising and promotion investment, as well as joint-venture product development.”

Austin said Vivid Imaginations will show the new Crayola 2006 line up at Excel in January, and that all spring marketing plans for Crayola products will be maintained, including the brand launch of the U.S. product success ~ Colour Wonder
