8 Feb 2007 VIVID PUTS ITS HEART INTO GREAT ORMOND STREET HOSPITAL’S TICK TOCK CLUB: Vivid Imaginations , the UK’s number one toy and game company , decided in 2006 that charity and community fundraising and donations should become a formal goal of the business . In need of a big project to anchor everyone’s attention and focus Vivid opted to support Great Ormond Street Hospital’s Tick Tock Club , which is seeking to raise £10 million towards a new purpose-built Heart and Lung Centre for Children. This new Centre will replace the current ageing wards which are no longer suitable for the pioneering treatments being carried out by the hospital’s world class cardio-respiratory teams.

Last December Vivid committed to support the Tick Tock Club by becoming a corporate member, committing £75,000 over three years.

“We were so impressed by the ground-breaking , life-saving children’s heart and lung operations being conducted at Great Ormond Street that it seemed a very natural affiliation for Vivid” , stated Alan Bennie , Vivid Joint Managing Director .

“By playing a part in Great Ormond Street’s heart and lung redevelopment programme we really feel that our money is being put to great use and is helping to save young lives .”

Additionally last year Vivid’s Big Kids Bike Ride team of 10 raised over £20,000 in September for the Toy Trust and the company supported Chase Children’s Hospice in Guildford and Make A Wish with donations over £25,000 to support families with terminally ill children.”

“Everyone at Vivid is immensely proud of our fundraising achievements in 2006 and is thrilled that we have donated over £100,000 to these highly deserving children’s charities” continues Bennie. “ It has really galvanized team spirit , made us more outward-looking and given us a tough target to beat in 2007!”
