The ‘Only Girls With A Passion For Fashion’ are set to hit the UK this summer with Bratz Rock Angelz, the major theme launch from MGA which sees a co-ordinated range from Vivid Imaginations, Universal for debut single and album music releases, Twentieth Century Fox for the direct to video/DVD release and videogame from THQ. Continuing to dominate the UK fashion doll market with over 48% market share, Bratz are now heading for superstar status as the hottest rock group around! Themed around 70’s rock style, Bratz Rock Angelz doll and lifestyle accessories range from Vivid Imaginations introduces Jade, Yasmin, Cloe, Sasha and newcomer Roxxi as international rock sensations. Each doll comes complete with hot new outfits, mix-and-match accessories and is packaged with bonus CD featuring tracks from the new Bratz Rock Angelz CD, Rock Angelz themed poster & sneak preview of the forthcoming Bratz Rock Angelz Video Game. The Rock Angelz range also includes rockin’ vehicles, playsets, styling heads, consumer electronics, stationery, games, bikes, scooters and in-line skates.
The range will be supported from launch by a targeted TV campaign, high profile PR and promotional activity. Universal A 14-track album featuring the Bratz Rock Angelz singing original tracks is due for release on 19th September with the first single from the album entitled ‘So Good’ on sale from 5th September with radio and TV air-play scheduled to kick in from August. There are also plans for a second single release later in the year in the build–up to the key Christmas buying period. The Universal Music Bratz ‘So Good’ single launch is to be supported with TV/Press and radio advertising alongside extensive PR and promotional activity.
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment The all new ‘Bratz: Rock Angelz’ CGI animated adventure is exclusive to DVD and VHS, bringing to life the Bratz girls as they form their own band for a rockin’ adventure in London. Set for release on 26th September 2005 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment and MGA Entertainment, a VHS (£12.99) and a single pack DVD (£15.99) will be available.
The DVD features unique extras including a Bratz bonus episode, "Crush In A Rush", Bratz Rock Angelz Music Video, and a “Behind the Scenes of Bratz Rock Angelz” featurette. A double pack DVD set (£19.99) including the extremely popular Bratz first animated adventure ‘Starrin’ & Stylin’ which has sold over 300K units to date will also be available. Fox will be supporting the release with a large multi-media campaign including TV, press, outdoor and online advertising plus a huge in-store presence featuring unique POS and exclusive promotions. An extensive publicity campaign will include a Bratz: Rock Angelz premiere at a key London music venue and a regional screening programme.
