26 May 06 Bratz all dolled up to go to the movies in 07 Bratz , the UK’s number one toy brand for the past 14 months is set to make her movie debut in cinemas in 2007 . MGA Entertainment , Crystal Sky Pictures and Avi Arad are teaming to produce the live-action feature "Bratz," based on the popular doll line. Bratz, owned by L.A-based MGA Entertainment and whose eponymous number one doll brand is distributed in the UK by Vivid Imaginations , has grown from being a toy brand into a market -leading entertainment property in just five years , spawning an animated TV series, DVD titles, video games, a magazine, a clothes line and a No. 1 album on Billboard's children's chart. With more than 400 licensees, the Bratz brand is now distributed in more than 65 countries. “Vivid are thrilled that Bratz are now set to make their “live-action “ screen debut as it will help build the “lifestyle” brand position even stronger “, states Vivid CEO Nick Austin . “ Consistently clocking in with 60% UK market share in fashion dolls and currently growing at 40% year on year (according to NPD Retail Audit Data –April 06) we are witnessing the establishment of the biggest girls lifestyle brand the toy and licensing industry has ever seen .” Bratz Babyz and Bratz Diamondz will also feature this year in DVD movie launches across the second half of this year , supported by the highly successful Bratz TV series on ITV
